I've been hoping to read fifty books this year as well, though I doubt I'll actually make it. A bunch of the ones on your list are on mine as well - especially Three Cups of Tea and Major Pettigrew's Last Stand! Right now I'm reading Elizabeth Gilbert's first novel "Stern Men" which is taking me a little while to get into, but "Eat, Pray, Love" is one of my favorites. I'd also recommend Daphne Du Maurier's "Rebecca" if you've never read it - and if you happen to like Gothic romances in the vein of Jane Eyre. I also always say that "84, Charing Cross Road" by Helene Hanff is a must-read for any booklover. (:
ReplyDeleteGood list, I have read only a few of those and am in a book club - always good to see other folks' lists!
ReplyDeleteGood luck - you can easily reach your goal if your computer doesn't keep malfunctioning, eh?
awesome :) i have one book on your list! i love to read, alert time is just hard to find. and i read whatever i find at garage sales that sound familiar. ha.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite a list! I decided to not buy any new books until I finish the ones I already own. Here's my list: http://leylafolsom.wordpress.com/unread-library/. I've only finished one of them so far but I'm halfway through two others, haha.
